ADAPTATION OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS OF UKRAINE: ЕSSENCE, СONCEPT, АPPROACHES
PUTINTSEV Anatoliy – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor,
Acting Head of he Department of Finance and Credit of the Taurida National University
named after V.I. Vernadskij (е-mail: putintsev1960@gmail.com).
PASHCHENKO Yuriy – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Professor of the
Department of Economics, National Aviation University (е-mail: ca1077bc@gmail.com).
The author substantiates the relevance of the study of the concept of «internally
displaced person» in conditions of modern realities of Ukrainian society. The article
clarifies the need to define the status of the so-called forced migrants – a category of people
new to the history of independent Ukraine. Two theoretical and methodological approaches
that go beyond the boundaries of a particular science and represent quite different angles
of view on what the adaptation and integration of the HSP is: socio-cultural and resource.
The theory proposed by J. Gullahorn was used to assess the adaptation strategies of forced
migrants. The basis of this is the hypothesis that the adaptation course corresponds to some
U-shaped curve, the individual parts of which reproduce the stages of this process. The
authors are of the opinion that the adaptation of the HBO is an integrated process. It
combines several areas that can be studied by different sciences-medicine, psychology,
sociology, anthropology, economics, etc.
