The journal deals with the issues of efficiency of functioning of the national economics and organizational forms of management of the national economy. Attention is paid to the problems of marketing, management and efficiency of production and economic activity of agrarian enterprises. The issues of public administration and administration, accounting and taxation, banking and insurance, forecasting and modeling of economic processes, foreign economic activity, commodity flows of economic entities and their infrastructure support.
ANALYSIS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY OF PRODUCTION OF CROP PRODUCTS IN UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF PRIMARY WASTE MANAGEMENT ON THE BASIS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The article is devoted to the issue of finding the effective ways to estimate the volume of agricultural production in the context of reducing primary crop production waste as an important factor in ensuring Ukraine’ s food security on the basis of sustainable development. The need to find new models of agricultural production based on the balanced use of agrochemicals, renewable resources and modern technologies to increase the efficiency of production processes was determined. This will help to preserve the ecological balance and ensure the country’s food security in the long term.
The problem of the generation of agricultural waste in Ukraine, which negatively affects the environment, producing significant amounts of greenhouse gases, is emphasized. On the basis of statistical data and the waste yield coefficient, the actual volumes of primary waste generation of the main agricultural crops during 2020-2022 are calculated.
The necessity of using the method of environment analysis (DEA) is substantiated, which makes it possible to identify regularities in prioritizing the production of agricultural crops, taking into account the technological features of the formation of primary crop production waste for each specific case.
The result of the conducted research is the identification of the environmental inefficiency of the production of most agricultural crops, which is caused by significant volumes of primary plant waste generation under the conditions of gross harvest and sown areas in 2022. With this in mind, optimal ways to reduce the amount of primary crop production waste generation by optimizing «inefficient» crop areas agricultural crops were proposed, which made it possible to determine the minimum and maximum effective rates of primary crop production waste generation.
Thanks to the combination of the theories of socioeconomic and sustainable development, the study of the theoretical and methodological approaches to the evaluation of the efficiency of the production of agricultural crops using the DEA method was deepened.
