The article is devoted to the issues of ensuring the process of commercialization of new types of edible oils and the identification of current trends in the development of vegetable oil market with the definition of priority directions of its functioning in Ukraine. A thorough analysis of the dynamics of production of oil crops was conducted, the most promising of them for growing and processing were determined, as well as the physical and chemical indices of various types of edible oils.
Growing, processing and selling walnut is a relatively new but rather profitable type of agribusiness, due to the fact that growing nuts is a waste-free production, everything is in demand: walnuts, oil, shells, wood and leaves.
The analysis of the investigated issue showed that Vinnitsa, Kirovograd and Cherkassy regions have the most favourable conditions for the development of domestic nuts industry. However, in spite of this, negative trends have been observed in recent years in this area: there is a decrease in planting area and gross walnut harvest. Walnut, the share of which is about 80-82%, forms the basis for the domestic market supply.
On our opinion, in the next 20-30 years, the approximation of the domestic capacity to the rational consumption rate – 1.5 kg of nuts per person per year is the benchmark for the development of the domestic nut market. In the future, it is planned to create 5-7 thousand hectares of intensive orchards, which will allow to receive up to 30 thousand tons of high quality fruits every year. Expansion of the cultural area for the period up to 2025 in the range of 20-25 thousand hectares will provide an income of about 140 thousand tons of nuts
On the basis of the research, one of the priorities of the state policy in the agrarian sector of the economy is grounded, which consists in the development of small innovative agribusiness, as well as broad support to commodity producers in the development and introduction of new production technologies and products using the results of scientific and technological research that has the potential for commercialization.
