Annotation

The article highlights the feasibility of rational use of nature as a component of ecological and economic competitiveness of urban territories. It is stated that rational environmental management in urban conditions depends directly on making adequate management decisions regarding the economic activity of economic entities and implementation of urban development strategies. The composition of the system of rational use of nature is presented and the algorithm of management of rational use of nature is grounded, which is based on social, ecological, economic aspects of management and is inextricably linked with town-planning activity. The stages of environmental management in urban areas (preliminary, intermediate, final) and the blocks of tasks that will allow preliminary assessment of the effectiveness of the proposed measures are identified. The conditions under which the environmental management process will be effective and the quantitative assessment of the ecological and economic competitiveness of the urban area on the basis of the system of criteria indicators by evaluation blocks are outlined.

The directions of rational use of nature as a component of ecological and economic competitiveness of urban territories are directly dependent on the specification of management decisions. It has been stated that rational use of natural resources can be achieved based on clear definition of available raw data and quantitative assessment of consumption of natural resources. The quantitative assessment of rational use of nature creates the prerequisites for the development of an algorithm for efficient management of environmental management of urban areas with the principle of stability in the management system, which is the basis for the use of a set of effective management tools.

The criteria for assessing the ecological and economic competitiveness of urban areas have been formed, and the quantitative assessment of its criterion components will help to identify problematic aspects of environmental management in cities, which should be followed by further research.

All-Ukrainian scientific and production journal “Economics, finance, management: topical issues of science and practical activity” is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes original research, theoretical articles and reviews on a wide range of economic and business issues. The articles, which have scientific and scientific-practical significance, highlight theoretical and methodological aspects of the development of agrarian sector of economy and related industries, the results of fundamental and applied research.

The purpose of the journal is to highlight the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of economic sciences, aimed at developing modern approaches to managing economic processes, financial support for enterprise activities and increasing the efficiency of economic systems. The publication is focused on creating a scientific environment for the exchange of research results between scientists, higher education students and practitioners in economic sphere, as well as on the dissemination of modern scientific and methodological approaches to solving current economic and management problems. The journal contributes to the development of the research in the field of enterprise economics, finance, accounting, auditing, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, trade, tourism and recreation, public management and administration, economic development and international economic relations, which meets the modern needs of the socio-economic development of the state.

The journal’s objectives are:
