The article presents various approaches, including the author's understanding, to determining the category of agritourism. The factors of development of agritourism activity in the region (infrastructural, territorial, industrial and socio-cultural) are highlighted. An algorithm for estimating the degree of agritourism attractiveness of both a particular rural settlement and the region as a whole is proposed. The conducted researches have shown, that according to the presence of agritourism attractiveness in rural settlements of the region the development of agritourism is possible by several models, namely: agritourism as such; a combination of agritourism and ecotourism; a combination of agritourism and ethno-tourism, as well as a combination of agritourism, ecotourism and ethno-tourism. The models of agrotourism development in the region, which are most suitable for the current level of development of the agrarian sector, are investigated. Four variants of estimation of socio-economic efficiency of development of agritourism activity in the region are offered and the most probable organizational and legal forms of agritourism development are highlighted. The prospects of ensuring the economic efficiency of the development of agritourism activities in the region are outlined.
The economic efficiency from the development of agritourism in the region is quite high. Basic profit businesses providing agritourism services may receive additional costs services. In our opinion, the most promising form of agrotourism development is development agritourism as a type of subsidiary productions of agricultural enterprises. Principles creation and functioning of agritourism as a type of subsidiary industries agricultural enterprises are largely in the interests of its participants: for agricultural enterprise - obtaining additional profit; for tourists – pleasure the need for healthy rest; for individual villagers - additional jobs, obtaining additional funds from the sale of products of personal subsidiary farms, etc .; for authorities at all levels - additional tax revenue, improving the lives of citizens.
