The journal deals with the issues of efficiency of functioning of the national economics and organizational forms of management of the national economy. Attention is paid to the problems of marketing, management and efficiency of production and economic activity of agrarian enterprises. The article examines the strategic directions and tools for the modernization of the agricultural sector of the economy, which are key factors in ensuring long-term economic growth. The features of modern innovations as the drivers of structural transformations in the agricultural sector of the economy are substantiated. A SWOT and PESTEL analysis of barriers and challenges to innovative and modernized transformations in the agricultural sector of the economy is carried out. The economic effects of introducing innovations into the agricultural sector are presented. Special attention is paid to the introduction of innovative technologies, digitalization of production processes, the development of «smart agriculture» and the integration of environmentally sustainable practices that contribute to increasing productivity, resource efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The role of state policy, institutional support, investment incentives and public-private partnership in accelerating transformation processes, as well as the importance of forming highly qualified personnel potential for implementing innovations, is studied. The ways of forming sustainable economic development of the agricultural sector of the economy are proposed, which provide for a set of measures aimed at increasing productivity, competitiveness, environmental and social sustainability of the industry. Priority is given to the economic, social and environmental effects of modernized changes, including ensuring food security, developing sustainable value chains and integrating the Ukrainian agricultural sector into world markets. The possibilities of accelerating modernization and innovative changes in the agricultural sector are highlighted as the basis for long-term economic growth. The conclusions are drawn that in order to achieve maximum efficiency of modernized and innovative changes, it is advisable to apply comprehensive strategies for the development of the agricultural sector of the economy, which integrate technological innovations, state support, development of human resources and compliance with environmental standards. Such an approach will contribute not only to short-term results, but also ensure stable long-term economic growth. The obtained results allow us to outline the prospects and priorities for further transformation of the agricultural sector, emphasizing its role as the foundation of the country's sustainable economic development.
