The magazine deals with the problems of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of integration and processes of globalization. Attention is paid to the issues of development of digital economy, rural territories, technologies of enterprise management and organization of accounting, problems of legal support of economic processes, market tendencies of development of various branches of economy. TECHNOLOGIES OF FORMATION, BREEDING AND EVALUATION OF HERDS IN DAIRY CATTLE FARMING: ANALYTICAL REVIEW

Breed differences, basic characteristics and livestock structure of the cattle breeds that are common in Ukraine are investigated. The causes of changes in animal breeding, the basis for the breeding process and selection work have been established. Methodology for evaluating the efficiency of selection and breeding work in cattle breeding, which includes biometric processing of productivity data and the most influential selection factors is proposed. The requirements for breeding lines of milk production in livestock complexes with industrial technologies of production are determined. The importance of breeding local breeds of animals and preservation of local genotypes is grounded. Milk yields of cows in breeding herds are analyzed. Selection and breeding processes of the technology of breeding highly productive cows developed on farms, formation of herds and evaluation of cows by the parameters of the desired type are examined.
