The article reveals the role of investments in creating a safe environment for agricultural business. The importance of investments in the development of agricultural production is substantiated. It was concluded that a safe environment for the functioning of agrarian business is determined by the ability to attract financial resources, in particular investments, as well as their effective use, which ensures positive financial results and creates a basis for further development. The need to create a favorable investment environment when attracting the investments, using the benefits of ESG integration, was emphasized.
An analysis of the volume of capital investments and foreign direct investments in the economy of Ukraine and the agricultural sector, in particular, for 2019-2024 was carried out. Conclusions were drawn regarding the steady trend of increasing investment activity and business efficiency both in Ukraine as a whole and by region, despite the rapid increase in investment volumes based on the challenges of the economic environment of agrarian business. The dynamics of foreign direct investment in the extended analyzed period was characterized by instability, which was influenced by both global economic trends and domestic political challenges. It is concluded that the investment climate in Ukraine is quite sensitive to external and internal factors and necessitates the need for more effective management of investment processes during the periods of instability and uncertainty.
The investment becomes an accumulated resource for the development of rural areas, where there is significant, but often not fully utilized, potential of the agricultural sector. Investments in agriculture are considered not only as the means of updating production capacities and introducing advanced innovative technologies, but also as the source of creating a favorable investment environment for the development of related areas of economic activity.
